A House Built on Water

Director Bahman Farmanara's second film following a 20-year exile from his native Iran depicts the spiritual crisis of a middle-aged man. In the film's dreamlike opening scene, Dr. Reza Sepidbakht (Reza Kianian), a well-off Tehran gynecologist, thinks he runs over an angel while driving home at night with a call girl. The next morning at the hospital where he works, he is shown a comatose boy who is famous for having memorized the entire Koran. These two events cause him to rethink his cynical outlook on life and his relationships with his elderly father, wayward son, and the women he has mistreated since becoming estranged from his wife. When the boy awakens from his coma, Dr. Sepidbakht begins to look to him for answers.

Solitary Road

Constructed in 1955 to initially connect Kiruna in Sweden to Altavatn in Norway, the work with the Solitary road was stopped for military reasons. Five small villages had been connected by the road and they were left with a deserted 20 km stretch in the wilderness. Along the road Sami people and finish farmers continue their lives. They still have the road and they have brought really old cars over the ice of Torneträsk so they could drive during summer time. One of the old men that built the road, Sven-Erik Stöckel, writes a letter to the politicians in Kiruna, asking them to finish the road so people do not have to risk their lives getting to the road crossing the dangerous lake of Torneträsk. Will it ever be finished? And what happened to the children that were born as a result of the road workers coming into the wilderness meeting the local girls?

Tornano a colpire attingendo dal successo commerciale e artistico con una serie di album a metà degli anni settanta caratterizzano la line-up di Chick Corea alle tastiere, Stanley Clarke al basso, Al Di Meola alla chitarra e Lenny White alla batteria. Nel 2008 questa classica line-up si è riunita per il loro primo tour in 25 anni e hanno dimostrato che la loro musicalità e la chimica all'interno della band era più forte che mai. Questo concerto è stato filmato a Montreux nel luglio 2008 con le bonus track di essere girato a Clearwater, in Florida, in seguito lo stesso mese.
