Life Is Good is Ashish Shakya's first-ever comedy special that has been honed over the last two years of his career, or the last 34 years of his existence - whichever backstory you prefer. Watch Ashish oscillate between goofy and sharp as he unleashes a volley of jokes on everything from the futility of nostalgia, to the ridiculousness of youth to stepmoms, terrorists, Bollywood, satire, romance and the pointlessness of existence. The A.R.M.S. Benefit Concert from London

The idea for hosting the concert was envisaged by Ronnie Lane, ex-bassist for The Small Faces and The Faces, himself a casualty of multiple sclerosis. The concert was billed as The Ronnie Lane Appeal for ARMS and featured a star-studded line-up of British musicians, including Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Steve Winwood, Andy Fairweather Low, Bill Wyman, Kenney Jones and Charlie Watts. The concert was particularly notable in the fact that it was the first occasion on which Clapton, Beck and Page, each a former lead guitarist for The Yardbirds, had performed together on stage.

Joe accetta anche per far recuperare alla società cui appartiene un milione di dollari di un film-fiction a suo tempo messo allo studio e di cui poi non si fece nulla, ad eccezione di un orrendo dinosauro, testé piazzato in memoria del defunto nel giardino della società stessa. Joe dunque convoca Sid Spokance, un regista fanatico dei vecchi divi, lo sceneggiatore Herb Derman ed altri "cervelli" della produzione. Ma sono tentativi vani: nessuno riesce a far brillare uno spunto, ne a tesserci intorno una storia valida, forse anche perché i convocati hanno quasi tutti - ad eccezione proprio di Joe - vite emotive e familiari complicate e rappezzate. Così il film non si farà e, tutto sommato, ognuno capisce in cuor suo che probabilmente si sarebbe andati incontro ad un sicuro insuccesso.

The programme includes rare archive footage of the Cavern Club in the sixties, including film of The Beatles performing ‘Some Other Guy’ at the club. On 9 February 1961, having recently returned to Liverpool from performing in Hamburg, The Beatles played at The Cavern for the first of nearly 300 appearances at the club. By the time they played their last gig there, Beatlemania had swept Britain and the band was conquering the world.
