The Outback

Being teased for his color, Johnny the white koala joins a traveling carnival with Hamish, a Tasmanian devil, and Higgens, a photographer monkey as talent agents. On the way through the Australian outback desert, the trailer they are in comes loose and crashes. Johnny must live up to the hero status Hamish presents him as while the outback locals try to rescue a kidnapped koala from Bog, a giant crocodile and his dingo lackeys.

Among Wolves

Entre lobos (Among Wolves) tells the remarkable story of a poor country boy named Marcos, who at the age of 7 is handed over to his father's employer, a rich landowner, who in turn delivers him to a life of labor with a hermetic goatherd in an isolated valley. The old man, who lives in a cave, is unused to human company and at first seems not very interested in having a live-in apprentice. The boy, who was abused by his parents, is frightened and equally aloof initially. Despite this, the shepherd begins teaching Marcos how to herd the goats, as well as how to care for himself and how to survive in the wilderness by trapping and fishing.

Hector Lavoe è stato uno dei più grandi cantanti di salsa della storia. Veniva da Porto Rico, ma si era trasferito a New York con la famiglia a diciassette anni e lì, giovanissimo, aveva trovato la sua strada nella musica come vocalista nell'orchestra di Willie Colón. Parte della sua parabola è narrata nel brano composto da Rubén Blades "El cantante", che appare nell'omonimo film diretto da Leon Ichaso e prodotto da Marc Anthony e Jennifer López in omaggio al grande artista. Nella storia di Lavoe deve averci riconosciuto qualcosa della sua, il cubano americano Leon Ichaso che, arrivato a New York negli stessi anni del grande salsero, ha trovato la sua strada come regista nella città le cui notti sono cadenzate dai ritmi latini.

L'amore arriva in treno

Il ricco manager Aditya, depresso perché la donna che ama ha sposato un altro, decide di partire con il primo treno dalla stazione di Mumbai. Tra i compagni di viaggio incontra Geet, una loquace ragazza originaria dal Punjab che progetta di fuggire con il fidanzato per sfuggire alla famiglia, contraria ai loro sogni di matrimonio.
