Starlit Days at the Lido

Basically this is a commercial for Hollywood's Lido Lounge and for MGM contract players. The Lido is a large watering hole; we visit one afternoon with an orchestra playing, all sorts of stars and would-be stars sitting at tables near the pool alongside paying customers, and bathing beauties parading and diving. The Lido's manager, Reggy Denny, introduces the stars in the audience. He's sometimes interrupted by someone who does a bit, sings a song, or otherwise entertains: most of these are novelty acts. By the end, everyone's having a swell time.

Una natura morta per corpo, voce, azioni ed estetica. Simboli estetico-biografici (Spaghetti, mela, pomodori, aspirina, Muratti, taglierino, pera, fungo, ecc) restituiscono una dimensione di rimandi pop, beat, barocchi, teatrali, in una connessione di vocalità, sostanze, odori, elementi. Il girato, quasi terminazione, quasi montaggio in macchina, è stato postmanipolato esteticamente per restituire l’idea-istanza. Tra i moduli usati, oltre ad elementi di Teatro Ateo quali la recitazione inceppata, si è utilizzata la restituzione performativa e una luce quasi cinematografica e sacrale.

Karkhana

KARKHANA is a romantic drama with a strong social message. Although the main plot has been kept unrevealed to keep the suspense and maintain the surprise element but overall it is a story about a women's wrong choice in life and the difficulties she faces to come to terms with and to overcome these challenges. The film is able to bring forward a social issue, challenging the stereotypes on women hood and its boundaries. In a nutshell it is a complete family entertainment package with romance, hatred, friendship, humor and action with an underlining social message.

1989: 64th and last year of the Showa era. A girl is kidnapped and killed. The unsolved case is called Case 64 ('rokuyon'). 2002: Yoshinobu Mikami, who was the detective in charge of the Case 64, moves as a Public Relations Officer in the Police Affairs Department. His relation with the reporters is conflicted and his own daughter is missing. The statute of limitations for the Case 64 will expire in one year. Then a kidnapping case, similar to the Case 64, takes place. The rift between the criminal investigation department and police administration department deepens. Mikami challenges the case as a public relations secretary.

Father Is a Dog

EELS: Live At La Route Du Rock

Eels is an American alternative rock band, formed in California in 1995 by singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mark Oliver Everett, better known as "E". Band members have changed across the years, both in the studio and on stage, making Everett the only official member for the most of the band's work.
