The Best That Never Was

In 1981, college athletic recruiting changed forever as a dozen big-time football programs sat waiting for the decision by a physically powerful and lightning-quick high school running back named Marcus Dupree. On his way to eclipsing Herschel Walker’s record for the most touchdowns in high school history, Dupree attracted recruiters from schools in every major conference to his hometown of Philadelphia, Miss. More than a decade removed from being a flashpoint in the civil-rights struggle, Philadelphia was once again thrust back into the national spotlight. Dupree took the attention in stride, and committed to Oklahoma. What followed, though, was a forgettable college career littered with conflict, injury and oversized expectations. Eight-time Emmy Award winner Jonathan Hock will examine why this star burned out so young and how he ultimately used football to redeem himself.

Luis Miguel: 20 Años

Luis Miguel: 20 Años (also known as Gira 20 Años or Premier 1991) is a VHS Video from the Mexican singer Luis Miguel. It was recorded in 1991 during the presentations of the artist with the '20 Años Tour' by various places in Mexico after the release of his last album (at that time) "20 Años". This tour is considered to be the first grand tour by Luis Miguel, with presentations in all Mexico, and in various cities of the United States. This video records a presentation of the artist in the now destroyed Centro de Espectaculos Premier (Premier Shows Center). The video contains around 90 minutes of the concerts, and the other 10 minutes include an interview that Luis Miguel made specially for the video. In this video Luis Miguel sang his pop songs, but the special feature of this video is that Luis Miguel sang 2 songs in Italian, and also 10 minutes of never-released songs in Trio (guitar).

My name is Enric Marco

Enric Marco, ex-president of the Spain’s main deportees’ association, embarks on a car trip to Germany, a demythologising journey into his past. Two years earlier, a historian had shown that Enric Marco wasn’t the member of the Resistance he had claimed to be, and that he’d made up the stories of his experiences in a concentration camp that he had been recounting on television for years. Ricostruzione dell'incontro di boxe, valevole per il titolo mondiale dei pesi massimi, tra i pugili neri Mohammed Alì, già Cassius Clay, e George Foreman a Kinshasa (Zaire) il 30 ottobre 1974. Al materiale filmato da Gast nel 1974 a Kinshasa s'aggiungono le interviste allo scrittore Norman Mailer, ai giornalisti Georges Plimpton e Thomas Hauser e al regista Spike Lee che vent'anni dopo commentano l'avvenimento. Più che sul Mohammed Alì della realtà, è un film sul mito, sulla leggenda, sul significato simbolico, sociale e politico di Alì e della sua vittoria sul nero Foreman che paradossalmente nel 1974 incarnò l'odiato zio Sam, quell'America dei padroni bianchi che avevano ridotto i neri a loro immagine e somiglianza.
