Sinbad il marinaio

E' il racconto che il mitico marinaio fa in maniera umoristica, quasi parodistica, ad alcuni mercanti del suo ottavo viaggio dopo i sette descritti in modo serioso nel libro "Le mille e una notte". Travestito da principe, dopo aver rilevato un battello, aveva ritrovato la mappa del tesoro di Alessandro il Grande nascosto in un'isola. Perciò era ripartito da Bagdad , ostacolato da molti avversari.

L'isola del tesoro

Tratto dal celebre romanzo di Stevens il film narra le avventure del piccolo Jim, al quale un capitano misterioso, che muore nella locanda gestita dalla mamma, confida il segreto per raggiungere un'isola sperduta e il tesoro che in essa è stato nascosto. Ma un folto gruppo di pirati segue le mosse del piccolo avventuroso e degli amici che finanziano e aiutano l'impresa. Anzi il capo della masnada riesce ad entrare come cuoco a bordo della nave di Jim e a farvi arruolare molti dei suoi colleghi. Il ragazzo scopre in tempo il tranello. Ma una volta giunti sull'isola i due partiti si scontrano in più di una scaramuccia. Alla fine la vittoria è per i giusti e la masnada dei pirati è sgominata. Il capo catturato è assicurato a bordo della nave che ritorna con il tesoro ma è salvato di notte dal piccolo Jim che gli vuol bene e lo fa fuggire.
