Sono 95 minuti di musica elegante e piena di passione, caratterizzata da un virtuosismo che non e' mai fine a se stesso, una abilita' strumentale che e' sempre messa al servizio di strutture complesse e piene di suggestioni, a cavallo fra la potenza ritmica del rock e la raffinatezza armonica del jazz, con lunghe linee melodiche caratterizzate da cesure ritmiche inaspettate. Bruford conferma il suo approccio poliritmico sempre attento ai dettagli e alle sfumature, con grande capacita' di utilizzare al meglio le dinamiche e le sottigliezze timbriche, anche grazie all'utilizzo di piccole percussioni. Michiel Borstlap e' un pianista degno di grande rispetto, dotato di una visione ampia che ben si sposa con le intenzioni del piu' celebre partner. Oltre al piano acustico utilizza una tastiera elettronica collegata ad un sampler che diventa fonte di sonorita' piene di echi fortemente espressivi, spesso drammatici e declamatori, a volte esotici e intimisti.
