Il giovane David (Daniel Brühl) lavora come cameriere all'Esquinia Bar ed è segretamente innamorato di una delle clienti, Marie (Hannah Herzsprung), amante della letteratura. Un giorno David ritrova un vecchio romanzo inedito nel cassetto di un mobile e, per far colpo sulla donna, finge di esserne l'autore. Marie riesce a far pubblicare il libro che in breve tempo ottiene un insperato successo. La vita di David è così stravolta e lui si ritrova catapultato in una nuova dimensione esistenziale e in compagnia di Marie, finalmente caduta tra le sue braccia. Tutto procede nel migliore dei modi fino a quando alla porta di casa di David si presenta l'anziano Jacky (Henry Hübchen), che sostiene di essere il vero autore del romanzo ritrovato e pubblicato.

Nel 1999 un nuovo Godzilla attacca il Giappone, provocando numerose vittime. Il governo giapponese decide allora di costruire un robot dalle fattezze del dinosauro atomico, Kiryu, partendo da cellule spinali estratte dallo scheletro del Godzilla originale, ucciso nel 1954 dal distruttore d'ossigeno inventato dal professor Serizawa. Il robot viene completato quattro anni dopo, nel 2003, in concomitanza con il ritorno di Godzilla. Ma Kiryu, che possiede dentro di sé le cellule di Godzilla, attacca a sua volta l'umanità. Gli umani sono costretti a danneggiarlo per fermarlo mentre Godzilla decide di restare in disparte per il momento.

Bugs la volpe

Bugs is provoked by a pack of foxhounds and their hunters stampeding over his hole, so he gets out his Halloween costume from last year (a fox suit) and sets out to lead the dogs on a merry chase. The stupidest of the dogs, whose objective is to cut a fox's tail off, becomes his main victim; Bugs tricks him into chasing a train instead. He eventually tricks the dog pack into running off a cliff, but the stupid dog ends up with Bugs' tail.
