La ricetta è semplice e quest'anno piuttosto efficace. Si prendono due divorziati (Ghini e De Sica) molto diversi tra loro (uno è un professore di etica e l'altro un palazzinaro) e li si fa finire insieme in vacanza a Rio all'insaputa di tutti. Città in cui, vedi caso, si trovano le ex mogli dei due che si sono incontrate nella clinica in cui si sono fatte rifare il seno facendo invece sapere ai familiari di essere altrove. A queste vicende se ne aggiunge una che apre il film. Fabio (De Luigi) innamorato in incognito di Linda (Hunziker) si ritrova a fingere di essere il suo vero fidanzato in sostituzione di quello reale (fedifrago) per far stare tranquillo il padre di lei che abita a…Rio.
