Albert Fish: In Sin He Found Salvation

Ci sono poche storie raccapriccianti a tal punto e venute a conoscenza del mondo globale; una di queste è certamente quella di Albert Fish, "l'uomo grigio", "il lupo mannaro" o come lo si vuole definire, colpevole di aver torturato, violato e spesso anche mangiato un centinaio di bambini.Siamo nel 1934 quando Fish viene arrestato per l'omicidio di Grace Budd, avvenuto sei anni prima. Sulla scia della macabra scoperta, fioccheranno poi orrende confessioni su tutti gli altri omicidi..Fish è forse uno dei pochi casi che racchiude in sé 18 esempi di parafilia, tra cui cannibalismo, sadismo, pedofilia.Il documentario-film diretto da John Borowski offre un'esaustiva immersione nel mondo malato di Fish, fatto di deliri religiosi di onnipotenza e ossessioni di espiazione; un parte del lungometraggio si sofferma sulla lettera di confessione di Fish, oggi conservata presso il Joe Coleman's Odditorium, luogo di esposizione dell'artista ma anche museo di memorabilia macabri..

At the cemetery, in an abandoned factory, in an asylum, in a landfill, in places full of sorrow, our heroes search for love and togetherness. By combining documentary material, animation and acting interpretation of the thoughts of our heroes, we get to know lives between disappointment and hope, quite similar to ours.

Launder Run

Launder Run tells the story of Jake, a man returning to his gritty hometown after years away, carrying the weight of a troubled past. The film opens on a rainy Saturday afternoon as Jake trudges through a bleak estate, visibly exhausted and clutching a plastic bag. Arriving at his sister Sue’s chaotic, unkempt flat, he confronts the ruins of his old life—a dirty fridge, a cluttered bedroom reduced to storage, and the ghosts of a once-close family. Seeking solace, he revisits his old pub, a place teeming with memories. As he steps inside, the bartender recognizes him with shock, hinting at Jake’s mysterious past and the reasons for his long absence. “Lounder Run” explores themes of homecoming, redemption, and the unshakable grip of one’s origins.
