Un fuorilegge, Barnett, e gli otto uomini della sua banda si appostano - dopo averne sequestrato gli abitanti - in un villaggio del Texas, per tendere un agguato a una diligenza che trasporta centomila dollari in oro. A rapina compiuta, mentre i banditi si dirigono verso il loro rifugio - una miniera abbandonata - un ufficiale di posta, Dove Williams, si getta all'inseguimento dei fuorilegge, deciso a sterminarli. Things could be better for 8-year-old Hung, who is grieving the loss of his mother who died a year ago. His relationship with his father is strained, his best friend is moving away, and to top it all off, a greedy landlord is bullying his father to force them out of their apartment. He finds solace by watching the night sky from the roof of his apartment building. One night, he witnesses a meteor shower and an errant falling star that lands in the nearby countryside. He investigates, but instead of finding a fallen star, he meets a new friend, and he decides to do everything he can to help her.

Beer Barrel Polecats

The stooges make a whole batch of homemade beer, but get tossed in jail when Curly sells some to a cop. Their minor indiscretion turns into a forty year sentence when a keg of beer Curly has hidden under his coat explodes while the boys are being photographed. In prison the stooges get into more trouble with the warden and wind on the rockpile when they try to escape. Released as old men with long gray beards, the first thing Curly wants is a bottle of beer.

A pet shop specializing in birds. The various caged birds chirp along to the score in their various styles (including a set of birds that looks like the Marx Brothers). A cat eyes the proceedings hungrily and makes his way in through an open transom, causing panic and an organized counterattack.
