Sette inviti alla lettura raccolti in un anomalo “road doc movie” da parte di due “intervist-attori”, Lorenzo Balducci e Tobia De Angelis, che incarnano le parole e i corpi dei romanzi e degli scritti di Tondelli. Il viaggio, tema centrale della vita e dell’opera di Tondelli, cantore prediletto di un’intera “lost generation” postmoderna, accompagna la riscoperta di titoli che mostrano tutta la loro attualità.

Martin Clément, alla nascita Marvin Bijou, è fuggito. È fuggito da un piccolo villaggio di campagna. È sfuggito alla sua famiglia, alla tirannia del padre e alla rassegnazione della madre. È sfuggito all’intolleranza, al rifiuto e al bullismo che l’ha escluso e marchiato come “diverso”. Contro ogni previsione, trova degli alleati. Dapprima Madeleine Clément, la preside della scuola media che lo introduce al teatro, e il cui cognome adotterà in seguito come simbolo della sua salvezza. Successivamente Abel Pinto, suo mentore e modello di riferimento, lo incoraggerà a raccontare la sua storia sul palcoscenico.
