Un progetto su quello che il personaggio di Trunks del celebre manga di Akira Toriyama vede e ha visto nel corso dei suoi viaggi dal futuro al presente e viceversa: l'oggetto in questione, infatti, non è la "Time Machine" che Bulma ha costruito per consentire al figlio di tornare indietro nel tempo, ma la "Memory Machine" di Trunks, ovvero l'insieme di ricordi e flashback che ha nel corso della sua esperienza e che lo hanno caratterialmente formato. In un climax di emozioni e un sistema di ricordi concentrici, la mente di Trunks trova pace nel presente e capisce che tutte le disgrazie che ha dovuto sopportare, prima o poi avranno una fine, e presto potrà tornare a sperare in un futuro migliore.

Proseguendo con la storia da dove si era interrotta il primo film, incontriamo nuovamente Nana Komatsu mentre si reca ad un grosso evento musicale la cui star è il gruppo dei Blast, la cui voce è Nana Osaki, che finalmente ha ottenuto il successo tanto ricercato. Nonostante il momento felice Nana Komatsu sembra stranamente giù di morale, non più la ragazza spigliata e sempre allegra di un tempo. Tramite il lungo flashback che ricopre l'intera durata della pellicola si scopre quanto accaduto durante gli ultimi tempi alle due giovani. Nana Osaki, costantemente impegnata nel miglioramento e nella promozione della sua band, torna a stare con Ren, il chitarrista dei Trapnest, e tramite i contatti con questa band riesce a far incontrare Takumi e Nana Komatsu (sua grande fan).

Animusic

Animusic è conosciuta principalmente per due film realizzati in computer grafica, dove improbabili macchine, una volta avviate, iniziano a riprodurre canzoni. A differenza di molte altre visualizzazioni musicali, è la musica a guidare l'animazione. Mentre altre produzioni animano manualmente le figure o i personaggi seguendo la musica, in Animusic i modelli animati vengono creati prima con un software di modellazione e animazione 3D, e con un software proprietario sono poi programmati per eseguire la musica, immessa successivamente nel formato digitale MIDI.
