A Santa Rosalia, sperduto paesino della Sicilia, nel 1943. Franco e Ciccio attendono, come tutti, l'arrivo degli Americani. Ma i tedeschi organizzano proprio qui un'ultima difesa a base di guerra batteriologica. Sospettati di essere sabotatori, i due "eroi" eliminano senza volerlo il colonnello tedesco e fanno saltare il laboratorio scientifico. Ma non è finita: molti altri guai li attendono.
