The compilation consists of interviews, some film clips and photos as well as various audio clips from him.

Come and Swallow

Come and Swallow is the newest film in the big swallow universe. Being a piss take on the original “The Big Swallow (1901)” and “Come and See (1985)”. When the young boy (Josh Killoh) has his village burned down and destroyed by an army of troops, a few soldiers (Angus Rhind, Finlay Doney and Quillan Hepburn) pose to take a photo with the boy. As the camera man (Finlay Esslemont) prepares to take the photo, the boy suddenly decides that he has had enough of this tyranny and swallows all the soldiers.

Gli amici si ritrovano sulla tomba del Perozzi e rievocano alcuni dei loro scherzi, tra cui far reggere la Torre di Pisa ai turisti e ingannare un usuraio. Il conte Mascetti, il geometra Melandri, il chirurgo Sassaroli, l'oste Necchi non hanno perso il gusto per le zingarate, nemmeno in occasione dei funerali del quinto sodale, il giornalista Perozzi. Senza timori reverenziali per niente e per nessuno (la Chiesa, la tragica alluvione dell'Arno del 1966), ogni occasione viene sfruttata per feroci beffe, anche fra di loro, nuove di zecca o rievocate. Sette anni dopo il primo fortunatissimo capitolo, la vena degli sceneggiatori e della regia non si è esaurita, e il film vale il precedente, graffiante, sorretto da uno humour crudele che spesso vira al nero. E gli attori sono sempre in gran forma.

JOHN CAZALE - Il Padrino mancato

Una famosissima citazione cinematografica de "Il Padrino" intitola questo breve e intenso omaggio a John Cazale, attore bravo e sfortunato, interprete di soli cinque grandissimi film e che rivive nel ricordo di colleghi che lo conobbero oltre che negli spezzoni delle sue opere. Attraverso un serrato ed efficace montaggio, l'arte di un magistrale interprete che rese più validi i film ai quali partecipò. Per gli amanti del cinema americano, imprescindibile. Il documentario ha il pregio di enfatizzare le straordinarie sfumature date ai propri personaggi dallo sfortunatissimo Cazale morto a soli 42 anni per un tumore ai polmoni. Attraverso il racconto dei colleghi (nel caso di Al Pacino e della Streep John era molto di più), il regista Shepard dona all'attore la giusta celebrazione. Chissà quanti altri capolavori avrebbe potuto fare.

Baraka racconta l’umanità attraverso immagini di qualità e classe straordinarie, accompagnate da un commento musicale non meno esaltante. Apparentemente privo di alcun filo conduttore, il film svela lentamente il suo intento: mostrare la disarmante bellezza intrinseca nella natura così come nell’uomo, quale essere vivente e quale essere sociale. La religione e il rapporto con la natura (due cose che coincidono, sotto certi punti di vista) sono le chiavi di volta nella comprensione dell’evoluzione spirituale delle varie compagini dell’umanità, anche nei momenti più cupi della sua Storia – l’Olocausto, la povertà delle favelas, la cementificazione selvaggia. Un’opera incantevole, emozionata ed emozionante. Come la vita stessa.

Il Centro per i Giovani - volti, racconti ed esperienze sotto la mascherina

Sei episodi della miniserie che raccontano momenti unici del progetto "Il Centro per i Giovani", realizzato dal Centro Interculturale della Città di Torino e dall'Associazione ASAI. Il progetto è stato il risultato di un lavoro di documentazione che ha accompagnato tutti i protagonisti intervistati per buona parte dell'a.a. 2020-21. Il clima di accoglienza e benessere che si respira all'interno degli spazi del Centro, matura una collaborazione tra i responsabili del servizio di doposcuola, i titolari dei laboratori creativi e tutti i volontari, che ha come fine l'assicurare ai giovani un luogo dove potersi esprimere liberamente e in totale sicurezza.
