In a corner of Tokyo, a man named Natsuo lives as a yakuza and a woman named Natsuki works part-time. Although they rarely think about their families, they attempt to reunite with them. Brother and sister, father and daughter; the distance between them begins to shrink, but... This film portrays the dynamics of people trying to co-exist in nature and in the city. Even though two individuals may be insignificant in the context of a large society, one life meets another and they move forward. This is a movie about their small footsteps.

Un mondo di marionette

Realizzato durante l'esilio fiscale di Bergman in Germania, il film continua la storia di Katarina e Peter Egermann, la coppia in lotta, senza figli, professionale che appare in un episodio di "Scene da un matrimonio". Dopo che Peter ha perpetrato un orrendo crimine nella sua prima scena, il resto del film consiste in un esame non lineare delle sue motivazioni, incorporando un'indagine psicologica della polizia, scene della vita coniugale degli Egermann e sequenze oniriche.

Escalation

Luca Lambertenghi è un giovane hippie figlio di un industrialotto. Il padre non sopporta la scelta del figlio e tenta in ogni modo, con scarso successo, di interessarlo alle sorti della sua azienda. Alla fine decide di affidare Luca a un trattamento psicologico presso una bella dottoressa, Carla Maria. Ben presto Luca si innamora della psicologa, la quale intravede in lui la possibilità di una rapida escalation sociale. I due si sposano, ma Luca si accorge che la giovane moglie non lo ama; così decide di avvelenarla con i funghi che hanno raccolto insieme durante una gita. Uccisa la moglie, Luca pratica sul cadavere un rito mistico e poi, una volta bruciato, sparge le sue ceneri. La polizia non riesce a individuare in Luca l'assassino della moglie e così il ragazzo, finalmente integrato nella società, può prendere il posto del padre alla guida dell'azienda di famiglia.

Whitch

After putting her daughter to bed, Aura finds that an elderly woman has broken into her house. The intruder, who acts strangely familiar with Aura, begins a ritual, summoning something dark into the living room. Aura tries to keep her daughter safe and grasp just what the hell is going on.

Leopard Do Not Bite

In a small village deep within the forests of Sri Lanka, everyone follows the teachings of a monk, with the exception of one hunter. While no one dares to kill in accordance with the monk’s teachings, the lone hunter hunts and provides meat for everyone. Meanwhile, beautiful villager Gomari is killed by a leopard, but no one knows this. Suspecting what happened to Gomari, the hunter begs the monk to cancel the upcoming full moon rituals, but the monk refuses, believing in the inevitability of fate. The hunter that never kills unless absolutely necessary must now hunt alone for the leopard that will attack humans.
