The Ascent of Mont Blanc

Joseph Vallot and his team of guides and porters climb Mont Blanc in 1906. Their ascent will take three days. They spent their nights at the Grands Mulets refuge and the Grand Plateau refuge. This is the very first successfully filmed ascent. Joseph Vallot (1854-1925), rich heir of Lodève in Occitania. He devotes part of his fortune to the observation of the Alps, sometimes opposing the scientific community. He built an observatory, still standing today.

Film

Amateur filmmaker Kemal Mutlu captures scenes of everyday life with plans of making a film. He lives with his housemate Nuri in a small flat in Istanbul. One day,Nuri's friend from orphanage, Izzet, comes to visit unannounced. Just out of prison, Izzet's colorful character grabs Kemal's attention, and he decides to make a film about him. Unfortunately, it soon turns out that underneath his friendly exterior, Izzet is a psychopath. When he is refused entry into a bar, he gets in by force and kidnaps actress Oznur Kula. Kemal is happy to have found an actress to star in his film, however things soon get out of control as Izzet's sick plans unfold.

Giuseppe Verdi - La forza del destino

Donna Leonora, figlia del Marchese di Calatrava, si prepara a fuggire segretamente con il suo amante Don Alvaro (figlio del Viceré del Messico e di una principessa Inca). Il marchese entra inaspettatamente. Alvaro esita ad alzare l'arma contro il padre della sua amante e getta la pistola. Mentre cade, la pistola spara e il marchese viene ferito a morte. Mentre muore, maledice la figlia. Don Carlo di Vargas, fratello di Leonora, decide di vendicare la morte della sorella e del suo fidanzato. Il libretto di Francesco Piave è basato su un'opera teatrale di Ángel Saavedra (1791 - 1865), Duca di Rivas, “Don Álvaro o la Fuerza del sino” (1835). La trama di questo dramma romantico si basa interamente su coincidenze, casualità e incontri inaspettati. In una parola, sul destino.
