Donner - Private

Jörn Donner’s entire production can be considered as a self-portrait, a life-spanning performance. Whilst others have painted one image or another of Donner, John Webster’s interpretation differs in that it pulls most of its material from Donner’s last-intended interview in December 2019, and an immense never-before-seen collection of photographs from albums simply labelled “Donner – Privat”. As a result, the film morphs into an epilogue of sorts, of Donner’s life story.

Tex plans a trap for the gang but things go awry when the gang catches Tex and the Committee catches Dave and both are about to be hung.

The Lama Avenger

When two acrobats are fired for fighting with punks in the audience, they go to live with an aunt who's being pressured to sell her house for a real estate development. The developer's nasty son, Lee Fu, decides to muscle the sale, and soon he's at war with the acrobats, plus their unlikely ally, an American named John who used to be Lee Fu's friend. The acrobats open a kung fu school, the scene of several battles with Lee Fu's thugs. A fight to the death, jail time, auntie's surprise decision, a budding acting career, a possessive girlfriend, a debilitating injury, a friendship that needs recalibrating, and Lee Fu's avenger are all in the mix before the end.

Stand Up (Or 3 1/2)

After watching some stand-up comedy, Craig, his friends and the comedians have a drink. While in the bathroom, a man sits in Craig's chair. He behaves inappropriately to the point that Scott has to ask him to leave. Things look like they're going to end in a fight, but then they don't. Craig reflects on how meaningless this interaction was.

Grazie ai suoi ingenti mezzi finanziari ha fondato una società, GraveTech, che fabbrica sudari speciali, che permettono di riprendere con videocamere i defunti e di farli osservare post mortem ai congiunti attraverso un dispositivo elettronico. Soprattutto Karsh può così osservare Becca in ogni momento, anche da morta. Così facendo, scopre un'anomalia nelle ossa di Becca, come se queste stessero mutando sottoterra. Nel frattempo il cimitero GraveTech dove è sepolta Becca subisce un atto di vandalismo e di hacking informatico, apparentemente riconducibile a un gruppo di ecoterroristi islandesi. Maury, cognato di Karsh, e Terry, sua ex moglie e sorella di Becca, identica a lei tranne per carattere e acconciatura, pensano che siano coinvolti servizi segreti russi e cinesi, interessati alle potenzialità strategiche offerte dai sistemi GraveTech.
