Laura, Marina, Renata e Giovanna, quando erano bambine hanno fatto una sorta di patto di sangue che, con il tempo, si è trasformato in una solida amicizia. Accade che quando una di loro, Laura, sposata ad un ricco armatore, viene ricattata da un giovane che reclama del denaro in cambio di alcune lettere d'amore scritte dalla donna, le altre tre corrono in suo aiuto. Il quartetto trova il denaro, ma quando si tratta di consegnare il denaro trovano il ricattatore morto.

One person who remembers the father Manolo, who follows that Lito is his grandson and both plan unite Manolo and Diana.

Leipzig, December 1734: Christmas brings the Bach family together. The first snow has fallen and the children Gottfried and Elisabeth are delighted about the arrival of their older brothers Friedemann and Emanuel. The Thomaskantor has retired to his music room. Anna Magdalena supports her husband, as there are only a few days left and his latest work, the six-part "Christmas Oratorio", must be finished on time. It is awaited with suspicion by the city council and the gentlemen of the consistory, who have long found Bach's waywardness a thorn in their side and fear that, after the premiere of the St. Matthew Passion a few years earlier, the St. Thomas Church will once again be filled with "operatic" music. With the oratorio, Johann Sebastian Bach hopes that he will finally become court composer in Dresden. And, as always, he demands that all members of the family join forces to help him. But differences of opinion are increasingly delaying the completion of Bach's most famous work.

Around the sleeping bodies, some presences occupy the architecture and move around the space in obscure activities: nothing of their actions is visible to us, except in the fragments in which the image shows itself under the flashlight. Monelle is a circular film without any narrative or hierarchy, without a beginning or an end, and it circumscribes a place of promiscuity and ambiguity between the different formats used—35mm and CGI animation—and the approaches of two opposites film attitudes—the structural cinema and the horror genre.
