Bel gioco dura poco. Scritta da Jean Bernard-Luc sulla base di un romanzo di André Lang, è una commedia macabra dove, però, l'accento cade più sull'aggettivo che sul sostantivo. Ben recitata con un brio distaccato, ma ripetitiva e prolissa. 34° e ultimo film di R. Bernard, figlio del noto commediografo Tristan che, dopo qualche film notevole tra le due guerre, dopo il 1945 si adagiò nel mestiere. Altri titoli originali La belle jardinière e On ne badine pas avec les fleures.
