Life of a Mutt

Through seven scenes, the film follows the life and destinies of stray dogs from the margins of our society, leading us to reconsider our attitude towards them. Through the seven “wandering” characters that we follow at different ages, from birth to old age, we witness their dignified struggle for survival. At the cemetery, in an abandoned factory, in an asylum, in a landfill, in places full of sorrow, our heroes search for love and togetherness. By combining documentary material, animation and acting interpretation of the thoughts of our heroes, we get to know lives between disappointment and hope, quite similar to ours.

Nel corso del viaggio verso il Messico, Frank viene inseguito da un cacciatore di taglie, certo Peter Beefer, che per meglio riuscire nella rapina ingaggia diversi fuorilegge e persino il bandito Calvera con tutta la banda. Frank, tuttavia, trova un alleato in Tyrie, a sua volta di colore e di professione baro. In un momento critico i due vengono protetti da una donna, ex prostituta, che, allo scopo di difendere i due, finge di rubare la sacca del denaro e attira su di sé le raffiche di mitragliatrice degli aggressori. Prima dell'ultimo decisivo incontro, Frank affida il denaro al piccolo Chico e si nasconde in una miniera abbandonata che farà saltare. Salvi per miracolo, bagnati per una nuotata fuori programma, i due amici si dirigono allegramente verso Sonora.
