Arnie e Monica, compagni di liceo che "filano" insieme da qualche tempo, si lasciano, in quanto la ragazza accusa Arnie di pensare "solo a quello". Il che, del resto, é vero, anche se il giovane nonostante i "consigli" dell'amico Reggie, continua a non riscuotere i consensi femminili cui ambisce. Mentre, in tutta la scuola, si intrecciano flirt più o meno seri, più o meno grotteschi, Arnie comincia a fare la corte a Cindy, la quale lo incoraggia nonostante la pericolosa gelosia più volte espressa dal suo ragazzo, il grasso e violento Bronk, detto "Piggy", porcellino. Monica, a sua volta, accetta la corte di un ragazzo più grande, amico della sua migliore amica, ma la cosa resta (sempre per volere di Monica), nei limiti del platonico. Ma alla fine, incapaci di restare lontani uno dall'altra, Arnie e Monica si rimettono insieme, mentre il cattivo Bronk riceve la lezione che merita.

'Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyun Ata Hai' revolves around the Pintos and the people connected to them. There's Albert who's pretty much angry at everybody. His brother Dominic who thinks it's better to be jobless than to work an underpaid job, his patient sister Joan who works at a sari shop, his independent girlfriend Stella who feels under-appreciated by her boyfriend, his father and his colleagues, client and Stella's family. The film is very much a social commentary about Middle-class life in Bombay during the late ’70s and the conflicts arising in the labour force because workers were getting severely underpaid.
