Mathilukal

Mathilukal ('Walls') is a free adaptation of the novelette of the same name, written by the celebrated Malayalam writer, Vaikom Muhammad Basheer. Autobiographical in character, it is set against the background of India’s freedom struggle in the ’40s when he was serving a term of imprisonment in the Trivandrum Central Jail. When the film opens, we see Basheer in a police lock-up, quite at home in the company of a few petty criminals. He has been languishing there for more than a year now without a trial.

Stanlio e Ollio nel frattempo ne combinano di tutti i colori distruggendo il camino e riempiendo la stanza di polvere e fumo. Stanlio e Ollio sono in procinto di andar via ma lo scienziato li trattiene per farli assistere all'esperimento che ringiovanisce: lo scienziato riempie una vasca d'acqua e vi immerge un'oca adulta, dopodiché aggiunge una goccia della pozione e l'oca diventa un anatroccolo e infine ridiventa un uovo. Stanlio e Ollio pensano ci sia un trucco e vogliono provare con un pesce, ma Stanlio spinge distrattamente Ollio nella vasca che a quel punto diventa una scimmia.

Christianshavn 1894 - Headstrong Juliane fights alongside her husband Otto for love and family in strike-ridden Christianshavn. The couple has been married for five years and has two children together. Trade union politics are taking up more and more of Otto's life, and Juliane cannot even get him to tone it down at family gatherings, so Juliane has her hands full keeping track of the home and the children. The family argues about big and small things, from the sisters' disagreement about women's liberation to Otto's political involvement.
