Le vacanze di Pikachu

Ash, Brock, Misty e Pikachu arrivano in un luogo fatto appositamente per i Pokémon. Gli Allenatori lasciano che i loro Pokémon lo raggiungano e, arrivati, subito si dividono. Mentre quasi tutti corrono via, Pikachu resta con Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Psyduck e Togepi. Quest’ultimo si mette a piangere per la fame e Pikachu e Squirtle cercano di calmarlo facendogli un po’ di smorfie buffe, ma lui non smette. Squirtle se ne va deluso e vede una mela su un albero; avvisa subito il gruppo e Togepi si calma vedendola. Bulbasaur la fa cadere col suo attacco Foglielama, ma accidentalmente, cade vicino a Psyduck che, senza pensarci due volte, se la mangia e Togepi ricomincia a piangere. Allora, Bulbasaur lo prende con le sue liane, lo solleva in aria cominciando a canticchiare una dolce melodia e, finalmente, il piccolo Pokémon smette grazie alla “ninna nanna” di Bulbasaur. Togepi, alla fine, si addormenta.

Prima dei titoli di testa, Victor mostra ai genitori il Super8 Monster From Long Ago, da lui realizzato, dove Sparky, travestito da stegosauro, è attaccato da uno pterodattilo. 2° film corto di Burton, sceneggiato da Leonard Ripps e prodotto dalla Disney, è uno spiritoso omaggio a James Whale e al vecchio cinema fantastico in forma di parafrasi semiparodistica di Frankenstein e La moglie di Frankenstein. Negli USA fu vietato ai minori di 12 anni non accompagnati. Horror in forma di favola, anticipa la poetica di Burton, vero autore con le mani di forbice.

Lamù - Beautiful Dreamer è il secondo film cinematografico ispirato ai personaggi di Lamù creati da Rumiko Takahashi.A causa di un desiderio, espresso quasi involontariamente da Lamù al folletto Mujaki, Tomobiki si ritrova costretta a vivere continuamente la stessa giornata. Nessuno sembra rendersene conto, tranne il professor Onsen. Le cose precipitano però quando tutti gli abitanti della città spariscono, lasciando tutto in rovina, ad esclusione di casa Moroboshi, in cui Ataru, Lamù e i loro amici continuano a vivere, "quasi" normalmente. Il desiderio espresso da Lamù al magico folletto dei sogni era stato che nulla cambiasse mai, in relazione al fatto che la ragazza era felice così come stavano le cose. Tutto degenera quindi in funzione ai desideri, anche quelli non espressi, dalla ragazza. Affinché tutto torni alla normalità, Ataru dovrà affrontare un bizzarro viaggio all'interno dei sogni.
