Cerebrale sino all'esasperazione e perverso, è basato sul rapporto uomo-animale, sul corpo dei personaggi (sempre a figura intera senza piani ravvicinati) e sulla pittura (Vermeer soprattutto e i fiamminghi del '400 come Robert Campin e Jan Van Eyck).
