A fictional character, Rasmus Nielsen, travels around the country, first as a traveling teacher, later in other positions, and through his experiences we are introduced to the conditions of various population groups. The central figure in the portrayal of historical figures is the politician Orla Lehmann.

Due fratelli, Totò e Pietro, vivono di piccoli furti. Rubano alla stazione due valigie, ma una contiene un cadavere. Decidono di farlo sparire in campagna. Cominciano disavventure di ogni genere e Totò finisce per mangiare, per errore, un'insalata di marijuana e diventa un pazzo omicida. Una parodia di Che fine ha fatto Baby Jane? di grana grossa ma tutta da vedere con un Totò irresistibile che fa la caricatura di Bette Davis. Indimenticabile la scena in cui, sottovoce, intona “Non ho l'età per amarti”.

Continua il calvario del ragionier Ugo Fantozzi, impiegato di concetto (frustrato e brutalizzato) in una multinazionale. Dopo una faticosa giornata d'ufficio, alle prese con i soliti problemi e schiavizzato, come al solito, dai colleghi, il povero ragionier Fantozzi deve subire anche una catastrofica riunione di condominio. Parte quindi per una gita con la famiglia a bordo di un incredibile camper. Al ritorno scopre che la sua bruttissima figlia, sedotta e abbandonata, è incinta.
